Your Questions, Answered

  • The Palm Sunday Path is based on the principles of Matthew 25: feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and welcoming the stranger. Just as Jesus entered Jerusalem humbly and peacefully on Palm Sunday, we will enter our capitol in Lansing proclaiming God’s values in contrast to the dominant politics of hate, greed, and injustice.

  • We will begin at Pilgrim Church (125 S Pennsylvania Ave, Lansing) at 3:00 p.m. and process to the capitol, which is approximately one mile away.

  • We expect the entire event - the processional and the gathering at the capitol - to last between two and three hours.

You’re welcome to join for all or part of the action. If you can’t leave from Pilgrim at 3 p.m., you can still meet us at the capitol! If you can’t stay at the capitol long after the processional, you can head out as you need to!

  • If you are aligned with the values of feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and welcoming the stranger, there is a place for you on the path.

All those who believe in the power of equality, peace, and justice from all denominations (or no denomination!), all races, all ethnicities, all sexual orientations, all gender identities, and all abilities. This action is happening in multiple states across the country.
